Jerry Cavalieri speaks to SFSU MBAs about SAP
Last night, HPC CEO Jerry Cavalieri reprised his presentation about "ERP's Changing Role in the Age of Connected Everything" to the San Francisco State University MBA program's BPM class. SFSU has a thriving SAP Award Recognition Program for undergraduate and MBA students.
In addition to giving a live demonstration of SAP Financials, Cavalieri discussed how SAP has become foundational to the enterprise, and how businesses adopt new BPM strategies that redefine and modernize their ERP to adapt in today's social, mobile, and cloud IT architectures.
Students were particularly interested in learning how SAP is making the ERP easier to use, via HTML5 interfaces, and in Cavalieri's recommendation to boost their appeal to employers through the development of niche skills and continuous learning of new technologies.

Guest lecture at SFSU - "ERP's Changing Role in the Age of Connected Everything"
On Wednesday, November 19 from 6:30-8:00pm, HPC CEO Jerry Cavalieri will speak to San Francisco State University MBA program's BPM class about "ERP's Changing Role in the Age of Connected Everything."
Cavalieri will discuss how ERP has become foundational to the enterprise, and how businesses will adopt new BPM strategies that re-define and modernize their ERP to adapt in the social, mobile, and cloud IT architectures of today and the future. ERP is here to stay, but must adapt in ways that require more agility and flexibility than ever before. The way corporations deploy and evolve their ERP systems will determine their level of competitive advantage and profitability. The key to success is a long-range IT roadmap and careful execution to thrive and stay ahead of the competition.
The presentation will also include a demonstration of SAP ECC Financials, and time for Q&A.

HPC CEO Jerry Cavalieri to Join SAP Advisory Board of San Francisco State University
We are pleased to announce that Jerry Cavalieri, CEO of HPC America, has joined the SAP Advisory Board of the College of Business at San Francisco State University. The Advisory Board provides guest lecturers and collaborates with the SFSU Information Systems (IS) faculty to enhance the University's curriculum with respect to SAP and the employability of IS graduates.
SFSU Professor Sam Gill commented that, "Jerry will bring his vast experience in helping organizations implement SAP to the development and implementation of SAP-enriched curricula at SFSU. In particular, Jerry will assist with the integration of SAP into the financial curriculum, which would also also include the implementation of GAAP using SAP. Jerry will also advise on how to extend the SAP curriculum to the use of the Sybase platform (acquired by SAP) to advance mobility solutions."
